Police are on the scene of a shooting with a male victim down in the city at this time.
Reports of shots fired erupted in area of 1692 Walker Avenue at approximately 9:21 p.m., sending police to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers found the unconscious male victim on the grass of the Mill Run apartment complex suffering from several gunshot wounds his torso and neck.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark with life threatening injuries.
Police have a crime scene established and an investigation is underway.
