Paterson Police are on the scene of a shooting that injured two in one of their neighborhoods.
According to a preliminary investigation by Paterson authorities, at approximately 3:20 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 155 Putnam Street.
Several police officers arrived and taped the area off after they found over a dozen shell casings.
While cops searched the area for victims, St. Joseph’s Hospital officials notified police when two gunshot victims entered the emergency room after being dropped off by private vehicles.
The gunmen ran from the scene and remain at large.
One of the victims suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the medical center.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
