Bergen County authorities closed Route 4 in both directions after a water main broke on the highway that leads to the George Washington Bridge.
According to information posted by NJ-511, as of 4:00 am, all lanes were closed and detoured after the water main broke in the eastbound lanes between Jones Road and The George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee.
Police have not said when crews will have the water main capped and repaired at this time.
