There are fatal injuries reported for at least one person involved in a collision where a car crashed into a building in Toms River early Sunday morning.
According to preliminary reports, the collision happened at approximately 6:42 a.m. in the vicinity of 1466 Hooper Avenue.
Police say the vehicle somehow lost control and slammed into a commercial building at that location.
Toms River and Ocean County emergency responders rushed to the scene where they performed a technical rescue to free victims from the car.
One person was confirmed dead and one other suffering life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
