The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a shooting that injured multiple victims at a location in Paterson on Tuesday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, shooters fired multiple rounds near the intersection of Carroll and Harrison streets around 11:00 p.m.
Police say when officers arrived, they found two victims dead at the scene and one other suffering severe injuries.
While detectives searched for evidence at the scene, officials at St. Joseph’s Medical Center notified police that about four other victims entered the emergency department suffering various bullet wounds.
Police say the gunmen fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV and remain at-large. Multiple cars and homes were struck by stray bullets.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
