A karge water main break that erupted in a Sayreville neighborhood will close schools in the town for Monday morning.
This is an official public statement released by school officials:
"Unfortunately, due to a massive water main break in front of the Sayreville Middle School on Washington Road, the Sayreville Middle School and Sayreville War Memorial High School will be closed today (Monday, April 8, 2019).
While we will have school at the Samsel Upper Elementary School and at our other K-3 elementary schools, please be prepared for significant delays in busing as Washington Road will be closed between Ernston and Deerfield Roads".
Utility crews are on the scene fixing the break according to police.
