Paterson Police are on the scene investigating a shots fired incident with two victims reportedly struck at this time in a neighborhood in the city.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to North 3rd and Temple Street after receiving reports of shots fired just before 2 p.m.
Units arrived to find a male victim suffering gunshot wound at that location.
While EMS units were preparing the victim for transport to St. Joseph's Hospital, officials inside the medical center alerted police of a second victim who entered the emergency department suffering apparent bullet wounds.
Police believe that the walk-in victim was struck at the Temple and North 3rd Street location.
We are recieving non-fatal injuries for both patients at this time.
There is an active and ongoing investgiation underway so avoid the area.
