A two-car crash that left one person dead this morning in Paterson has authorities investigating.
Emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Totowa and Richmond avenues shortly before 9 a.m. where they arrived to find two badly damaged vehicles with occupants trapped inside.
One person was extricated from the car then pronounced dead at the scene according to preliminary reports.
EMS rushed one other victim to St. Joseph's Hospital suffering severe injuries.
Police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway at this time.
