NJ TRANSIT has suspended all rail service, with the exception of the Atlantic City Rail Line, due to weather conditions around the state.
At approximately 10 p.m., NJ TRANSIT said light rail and buses are subject to suspensions, detours and delays due to widespread weather-related issues.
The remnants of Hurricane Ida roared into North Jersey around 6 p.m. Wednesday with heavy rain that flooded subway lines and basements of thousands of homes in the state.
The National Weather Service said it had recorded rainfall rates of at least three to five inches in an hour across northeast New Jersey.
There are no severe injuries reported.
