A shooting in Newark's South Ward has police on the scene with two victims down at this time.
Gunfire rang out in the area of Hawthorne Avenue and Huntington Terrace at around 2:30 p.m. sending police and EMS to the scene where they found the victims injured at that location according to reports.
The pair were transported to University Hospital with one of the victims in critical condition while the other victim is stable.
Police setup a crime scene to search for evidence. A dark colored vehicle (Hyundai) four-door was observed speeding away from the scene. (Updated 3:39 pm)
