A crash that involved a Newark Fire Truck has emergency responders on the scene where there are at least six people injured at at this time.
The crash happened at around 7pm near the intersection of Orange Street and Clifton Avenue where a fire truck that was en route to a two-alarm blaze at 824 Mount Prospect collided with a vehicle trapping three people inside the vehicle.
Crews were able to extricate the occupants where they are now en route to University Hospital according to authorities.
Two firefighters were also taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
One other occupant of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
