Police and EMS are on the scene of a shooting with one person at this time in Jersey City.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the vicinity of the 300 block of Forrest Street at around 1:30 pm where officers arrived to find one person struck by gunfire.
EMS has just stabilized the victim and is now en route to Jersey City Medical Center at this time.
There is a crime scene established and an investigation underway. There are no arrests reported.
Please avoid the area for the investigation.
**UPDATE 1:51 pm:** A second victim has been found near the crime scene suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. Non-life threatening injuries at this time.
**UPDATE 2:01 pm:** The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office have been notified for "life threatening" injuries for the first victim who was reportedly shot multiple times.
2:41pm This is a confirmed homicide investigation.
