There is a crime scene established in a neighborhood in Newark's Ironbound section as detectives from the Essex County Prosecutor's office are on the scene of a fatal shooting at this time.
More than a dozen rounds of gunfire erupted in the 100 block of Adams Street near the intersection of Walnut Street before 6 a.m. sending police to the scene where officers found two males shot at that location.
We have confirmed at least one fatality at this time.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
The identity of the victims have not been released.
