Heavy fire extended from both sides of the structure causing severe damage three other neighboring homes.
The fire involved 118, 120 and 122 Fleming Avenue and was declared under control at approximately 5:00 am.
There was one injury reported to a firefighter, which is not considered serious after he fell on ice due to frigid temperatures according to officials.
A second person, a resident, suffered a panic attack. The American Red Cross is assisting with the relocation of the displaced families officials said.
There are about 13 residents displaced.
The official cause remains under investigation, but authorities believe that a space heater may have sparked the blaze.
