Multiple EMS units are being rushed to the scene of shots-fired with at least five victims struck by bullets at a location in Newark this evening.
According to preliminary reports, gunmen arrived in the 100 block of South 8th Street near 12th Avenue at approximately 5:10 p.m. and began firing guns at that location.
When police arrived at the scene, they found five people shot in the vicinity of 139 South 8th Street.
The condition of the victims have not been confirmed but there are no reports of life-threatening injuries at this time.
Avoid the area for the police investigation.
UPDATE 5:40: One confirmed Fatality.
UODATE 5:33: Police say there is a total of four victims. The fifth injured person did not suffer a bullet wound.
UPDATE 5:28pm A 5th victim has been found.
