This image is coming in from Newark's West Ward where firefighters are on the scene battling a raging fire that's burning in a house at this time.
According to preliminary reports, crews responded the short distance from their firehouse to the 200 block of Smith Street where they encountered heavy fire coming from the roof of a two and a half story house at around 5:15 a.m.
Firefighters have not gained control of the blaze as of 5:51 a.m.
There are no immediate reports of injuries.

**UPDATE 6:05 a.m. A search of the house had NO trapped or injured occupants. We are getting just under a dozen residence displaced (9) Seven adults and two children reported.**
