Emergency responders are on the scene of a car crash in Newark's West Ward.
The incident happened at the City Supermarket on Irvington Avenue at around 7:45 p.m. where the driver somehow lost control of the vehicle and slammed into the entrance of the store.
A quick-thinking security guard reportedly grabbed the suspect who attempted to run from the scene according to reports. That suspect appeared to be a juvenile witnesses told our on-scene reporters.
The vehicle also struck a parked car in the parking lot at that location.
There are no serious injuries immediately reported.
