Firefighters are on scene of a three alarm fire inside a building in Newark's Ironbound section.
Heavy fire ripped through the building located in the 300 block of ferry Street shortly before 3:30 p.m.
Crews battled thick smoke and flames as they attempted to perform a search of the building for injured and/or trapped occupants.
Several pets have been rescued from the house according to reports.
Crews have not gained control of the blaze at this time.
