Firefighters are on the scene of a massive fire ripping through a large building in Hudson County Friday morning.
Union City firefighters raced to 822 South 19th Street after they received several reports of a fire inside an apartment building just before 5:10 a.m.
Upon arrival, fire officials struck as many as four alarms for manpower after they observed heavy flames engulfing the upper floors of a three-story building.
Firefighters from around Hudson County teamed with Union City to stretch multiple lines to perform exterior attacks on stubborn fire that caused a portion the structure to collapse.
As of 5:15 a.m, no injuries were immediately reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
