Police are on the scene of a crash with fatal injuries reported on Route 46 in Little Falls at this time.
The crash happened just before 3:45 p.m. in the eastbound lanes near Lower Notch Road sending emergency responders to the scene where they arrived to find four vehicles including a tractor-trailer involved in the collision.
It appeared that the truck rear-ended one of the vehicles causing it to collide with another car.
The driver of the silver van was pronounced dead as police detoured heavy traffic heading eastbound.
The official cause of the crash remains under investigation.
