Hudson County authorities are investigating a car crash that left two people dead this morning in Jersey City.
According to preliminary information from authorities, the early morning crash happened just before 3:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Tonnelle Avenue where emergency rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a collision with multiple injuries.
Police, EMS, and firefighters arrived at the scene to find the two-car collision, which caused one of them to roll over, trapping occupants inside the vehicle.
Crews were able to extricate the victims from the vehicle in which two unidentified occupants were pronounced dead at the scene authorities said. Two other victims were transported to Jersey City Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
There is no official cause of the crash as we await a response from the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office and detectives continue to investigate.
