Hudson County firefighters are on the scene battling a multi-alarm fire that's burning inside several structures at this time.
According to preliminary reports, firefighters were called to the 70's block of Wade Street to investigate reports of a fire at approximately 4:25 a.m.
Upon arrival, fire officials struck a second and third alarm for manpower after flames extended to several buildings at that location.
Crews stretched several lines to battle intense fire that spread to a pair of two and a half story homes according to reports.
An initial search of the buildings indicated not trapped or injured occupants, but as of 5:40 a.m., officials have not declared the fire under control. Officials have struck as many as 4-alarms.
The cause is under investigation.
