There are severe injuries reported for the victim of a crash that caused a vehicle to overturn then burst into flames on an NJ highway Saturday morning.
Details are developing, but according to preliminary reports, police have all lanes closed on NJ-22 in Hillside after a car crashed in the eastbound lanes of the highway near the vicinity of 114 just before 7:15 a.m.
The vehicle crashed into several poles, then flipped over, just before bursting into flames at that location.
At least one person was pulled from the vehicle and rushed to the hospital suffering severe injuries according to reports.
It is not immediately clear if there are other injuries at this time.
Firefighters were able to extinguish massive flames that tore through the car as it landed on its roof.
The cause of the crash is in its preliminary stages. Expect massive delays on the highway.
