Authorities in Union County are investigating a shooting in a section of Linden on Monday morning.
The early morning shots fired incident happened shortly before 5:45 a.m near the intersection of Henry and Wood Avenue.
Police responded and found evidence that a shooting had occurred, but after searching the area, no victims were found.
Shells casings were found in the vicinity of 48 and 34 East Henry, among other locations. Police patrolling the area reported hearing about a half dozen shots.
Authorities believe that the suspect fled the scene in a newer model dark Mercedes.
It appears that the suspect fired at individuals who occupied another vehicle, but the investigation remains active and ongoing.
The Union County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation.
