There are injuries reported for a shots-fired incident that occurred at a location on the Maplewood-Irvington Border this evening.
Police were called to the vicinity of Chancellor and Springfield avenues to investigate reports of a shooting that occurs at around 6:22 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the unidentified victim suffering a non-life-threatening gunshot injury in the leg.
The victim is being rushed to University Hospital for treatment according to police.
Police say there is a large crime scene at the Wawa store located in Maplewood.
Neither town has confirmed if the victim was struck by bullets at the Wawa’s or ran from a shooting location in Irvington at this time.
