BREAKING EAST ORANGE: Two People Found Dead in East Orange House

First responders are at a house in the 50's block of Dodd Street where two people have been found fatally injured at this time. 

Preliminary reports are coming in as a mom and a young daughter who apparently succumb to poisonous gas (carbon monoxide).

FROM THE ESSEX COUNTY PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE : 

Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is in the early stages of investigating possible carbon monoxide deaths. Two people were discovered dead this morning at 59 Dodd Street in East Orange.

They are believed to be a young mother and her daughter. We are in the process of confirming their names and ages. 

The preliminary investigation indicates the power had been shut off yesterday by the utility company and a gas generator was being used without proper ventilation.  At this time there is no sign of trauma or foul play.

Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
