About a dozen evidence markers indicating multiple rounds of gunfire has detective with a crime scene established on Carlton Street at Prospect Street.
A male victim was rushed to University Hospital according to preliminary reports.
There are no reports of a fatality at this time.
Police have Carlton Street blocked in both directions.
