A male victim is being rushed to University Hospital in Newark after a shooting left him with life threatening injuries a short time ago.
Gunfire rang out in the 80's block of North Arlington Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. sending police to the scene where they located the male seriously injured by apparent gunfire.
Police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway.
The identity of the victim or the motive behind the shooting had not been released.
