Authorities in Bergen County are investigating the cause of a crash that killed a person on a highway in Carlstadt Thursday.
The early morning collision happened around 3:15 a.m. near 517 NJ-17.
Police and firefighters arrived and found a car fully involved in flames after the vehicle slammed into the rear of a truck.
One unidentified person was pronounced dead at the scene and no other severe injuries were immediately reported.
The collision caused some delays on the highway after cps closed two lanes for the investigation and cleanup.
Expect some congestion for the morning rush.
