The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office has been called to the scene of a crash with severe injuries reported on Route 22 in Green Brook Township.
Details regarding circumstances involving the collision are developing. Still, according to preliminary reports, at approximately 5:50 a.m., emergency responders rushed to the 100 block of Route 22 near the Green Brook Buick dealership to investigate reports of a crash.
Upon arrival, rescue crews found a crashed vehicle with at least one trapped occupant inside.
The individual suffered massive injuries and responders would only initially confirm "life-threatening injuries."
Police detoured traffic on that portion of the highway while detectives worked to determine the cause of the crash. Expect delays if you are heading in that direction.
The incident is under an active and ongoing investigation.
