Passaic County emergency responders extricated three people from a vehicle that overturned on the Garden State Parkway then rolled down an embankment in Clifton this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, it happened in the northbound lanes near exit 155 where a vehicle crashed, overturned then rolled down a grassy hill landing on its roof about 100 feet from the shoulder of the highway at approximately 12:20 p.m.
It took fast responding emergency rescue crews about 10 minutes to extricate all of the victims before handing them over to EMS who made the transport to an area hospital.
The condition of the victims have only been retired as serious at this time.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
