A brutal stabbing attack in a Jersey City apartment has left at least three people dead, including children, and authorities are now searching for a suspect who fled the scene.
According to information released by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, police responded to a call regarding suspicious activity at a building in the 200 block of Hutton Street around 12:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a horrific crime scene inside a basement apartment, where about four individuals had been stabbed.
Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while the condition of the fourth victim has not been disclosed.
Officials say a broken window was found at the apartment, and investigators are actively searching for a male suspect believed to have escaped before police arrived.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the motive behind the attack or the identities of the victims.
