Police have not released official information regarding the crash, but according to preliminary reports, emergency responders were dispatched to the vicinity of 2289 Spruce Street to investigate a car crash with injuries at around 5:15 a.m.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found the motor vehicle wreck with a critically injured person at that location.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.
Police closed the area to conduct the investigation and determine the cause of the crash.
