South Orange Police are being requested to assist on the scene of a shooting that injured two victims in Maplewood this evening.
According to police, gunfire rang on Hughes Street around 8:55 p.m.
Officers arrived and found both victims suffering gunshot wounds at that location.
EMS units transported the pair to the hospital for treatment while police searched the area for a suspect.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
