Somerset County officials announced an investigation into a car crash that occurred in Branchburg Township on June 23.
Officials stated that at approximately 1:15 p.m. Branchburg Township Police responded to the area of Route 22 West and County Line Road for a report of a car crash involving a motorcycle and tractor-trailer.
Upon arrival, police observed two individuals who had sustained injuries as a result of the crash. The accident caused a brief delay to traffic so that the crash could be investigated.
The driver and passenger of the motorcycle were transported to an area trauma center by emergency medical services due to their injuries which were serious but non-life-threatening.
The reason for the crash has not been released and the investigation is still ongoing.
