Students and staff at David Brearly Middle-High School were placed on lockdown following a bomb threat this afternoon, police said.
David Brearly Middle-High School in Kenilworth was locked down Thursday afternoon after a caller said there was a bomb in the school around 2 p.m.
According to police, a caller made the threat around 2 p.m. today.
While school was placed on lockdown, Kenilworth Police and K-9 units from the Union County Sheriff's department swept the school.
Shortly after 2:30 the threat was found to be unfounded and the students were dismissed, police said.
Police are investigating the incident.
