Authorities in Passaic County announced that on April 14, at approximately 11:48 p.m., the Paterson Fire Department was dispatched to 465 Hamilton Avenue in Paterson on a report of a working residential fire.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, while attempting to extinguish the fire, members of the Paterson Fire Department discovered a deceased male in the basement.
Officials stated that the Identification of the deceased has not been confirmed and is pending an investigation by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
This investigation is active and ongoing, officials said.
Authorities say more information will be released when it becomes available.
