Police Director Samuel DeMaio announced today that Leo Donaldson, 30, of Bloomfield was arrested today by members of the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.
Donaldson, formerly known as Leo Inglima, is charged with First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, Second Degree Sexual Assault by Contact, Third Degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact and Endangering the Welfare of a Child based on allegations that during 2015 and 2016 he sexually assaulted two juvenile males ranging in age from 15 to 17 years old.
The incidents are alleged to have occurred at the teacher’s home in Bloomfield and his previous resident in Jersey City.
Donaldson is a track and cross-country coach at Bloomfield High School, where he also teaches architecture.
The Honorable Ronald H. Wigler, Presiding Judge of the Superior Court, Criminal Division, set bail at $400,000 cash or bond, with no 10 percent alternative.
The arrest was effectuated by Essex County Prosecutor's Office, Captain Steven Roberts, Sgt. Nichele Patrick, and Detectives Paul Sarabando and Joseph Giordano.
