”Residents will continue to be permitted to use public school lots for additional parking”
BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Bloomfield will restart parking meter and permit enforcement as well as street sweeping on June 1.
Meter/permit enforcement, as well as street sweeping had been suspended as a result of COVID-19 in March.
Residents that have been utilizing public school parking lots to park their cars will still be permitted to do so.
“As a result of the COVID-19 crisis, we have been forced to make adjustments to how we operate as a township,” said Mayor Michael Venezia.
“We have had to suspend certain services such as street sweeping and have stopped meter and permit enforcement to ease the parking burden for our residents.
As we attempt to get back to normal in Bloomfield, it is important to us that we do so in a slow and careful manner and that we give residents ample notice of changes.”
The township will notify residents of any further changes to parking policy during the COVID-19 crisis.
