Police in Bloomfield Township are searching for suspects in two thefts from a local Staples store, which resulted in nearly $1,000 worth of stolen items. According to a police statement, the first incident occurred on October 16 at Staples, 135 Bloomfield Avenue.
Officers responded to a report of shoplifting after a female suspect took a PlayStation 5 console, valued at $499.99, from the counter and left the store without paying.
The following day, a second incident occurred.
A store employee told Bloomfield Police a male suspect requested to purchase a pair of Bose headphones valued at $349.00.
After the headphones were placed behind the checkout counter, the suspect walked behind the counter, took the item, and left without paying.Both incidents are currently under investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
