Authorities in Bloomfield are on the search for as many as four men wanted for an armed robbery in the township overnight.
Cops responded to the area of Bloomfield Ave. and Conger Street shortly before 1 a.m. on reports of an armed robbery in progress. Officers found a victim who reported to them that several male suspects (who were armed with guns and wearing masks) approached an announced a robbery.
The suspects were described as 3-4 black males were last seen wearing red masks on their faces. One of the men was wearing a "du-rag" while another suspect was wearing a hoodie with a eagle sign on it according to reports.
The men reportedly fled the area in a blue colored Audi eastbound on Bloomfield Ave.
In a separate incident that happened earlier in the evening, Bloomfield Police arrested three suspects near a supermarket in the single digit block of Franklin Street for weapon possession. Several calls came into headquarters of a suspicious vehicle occupied by males circling the area. Several police units arrived to the scene where they located and stopped the vehicle.
A weapon was found in the vehicle after an investigation according to reports.
