Bloomfield Police Arrest Newark Man in Multiple Shoplifting Incidents at Walgreens

Bloomfield Police have arrested Jermaine Raab, a 44-year-old Newark man, in connection with multiple shoplifting incidents at a local Walgreens, resulting in significant losses for the store.AdRaab, a suspected serial shoplifter, was taken into custody on October 16 after officers responded to a shoplifting report at the Walgreens located at 77 Bloomfield Avenue.

According to police, Raab was involved in a string of shoplifting incidents at the same Walgreens on August 15, 16, 18, and September 13 and 17 of 2024.

During these thefts, Raab allegedly stole hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise.

On the day of his arrest, Raab was caught stealing laundry detergent valued at $52.43. Officers quickly located him nearby and, upon arresting him, discovered outstanding warrants for multiple previous shoplifting incidents at the same store.AdRaab was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters, where he was processed for the charges.

The investigation into the series of thefts is ongoing.
