Bloomfield Police Arrest Man in Ongoing Shoplifting Crackdown

Police officials in Bloomfield, in their crackdown on consistent shoplifting in stores throughout the township, have taken a man into custody for allegedly stealing items from a local store.Ad

In a statement, police identified the suspect as Mr. Kenneth Thompson, 35, of Washington, NJ.

Officers responded to a shoplifting report at Stop & Shop located at 8 Franklin Street.

According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male suspect took various items and left the store without paying.

Officers were able to locate Thompson nearby with the stolen goods and placed him under arrest.

Officials said he was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters without further incident to be processed accordingly.
