A 25-year-old Bloomfield man is facing gun and drug-related charges after he was pulled over Tuesday for having a busted tail light.
According to police, when the officer approached the vehicle, occupied by Joshua F. Pizarro, the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana.
During a search of the vehicle, police found a gun in a plastic bag on the back seat, and the marijuana and pills in a compartment next to the driver's seat.
Pizarro was charged with charged with possession of oxycodone pills, marijuana, drug paraphernalia; as well as weapons offenses that include possession of a weapon by a felon.
He was ordered released with various conditions of supervision pending trial.
