A 46-year-old Chinese food store employee accused of attacking a co-worker with a meat cleaver was arrested last week, police announced today.
According to police, on Aug. 26, officers were called to the Bloomfield Avenue Chinese food restaurant for a report of an argument.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that Kwei Dong Yang allegedly assaulted his coworker with the cleaver, cutting him in the back of the neck, after an argument over who could use a meat cleaver.
The victim - who suffered minor injuries - was treated by EMTs at the scene.
Although Yang was not at the restaurant when police arrived, he eventually turned himself in.
Once in custody, he was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
He was eventually released, according to officials.
