Authorities are on the scene investigating an armed robbery that took place at a jewelry store in the city a short time ago.
Police raced to the scene after receiving reports of an armed robbery that happened at around 5:55 p.m. in the 100 block of Bloomfield Avenue.
Store employees reported to police that three black male suspects entered the establishment armed with guns when they ordered cash and other items.
The suspects were wearing hoodies, ski-masks, and gloves when they performed the heist, then they fled eastbound on Bloomfiled Ave. towards Newark according to reports.
There were no immediate reports of physical injuries.
