In the early hours of New Year's Day, Bloomfield residents Grace Ann Caramico and Alfonse Muglia welcomed their daughter, Clementine Frances Muglia, marking the first birth of 2025 at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
Baby Clementine arrived at 12:37 a.m., weighing exactly seven pounds and measuring 19 inches long, according to a statement released by RWJBarnabas Health.
Her arrival comes as a heartwarming start to the year for the Muglia family, whose celebrations will continue throughout the week.
Caramico and Muglia will celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary on January 5, while their eldest daughter, Theadora, turns three on January 7.
Clementine was born just one day after her due date, ushering in not only a new year but a season of joy and milestones for the Bloomfield family.
Caramico, who works in business development at a law firm, and Muglia, an attorney, expressed their excitement as they introduced their newest family member.
Elsewhere in New Jersey, new parents celebrated similar joyous moments. In Manchester, Ester Malika Gross gave birth to her third daughter at Monmouth Medical Center at 2:03 a.m.
Baby Gross, weighing 8 pounds 14 ounces, joins two older sisters, ages five and two.
At Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, Heidy and Adrian Lopez Iboy from Plainfield welcomed their son, Aidan Aziel Lopez Iboy, at 4:18 a.m.
These early arrivals symbolize hope and new beginnings for families across New Jersey as they step into the new year.
