Good morning, New Jersey!
On this frosty Friday, the 13th, my family and friends in Newark are waking up to bone-chilling temperatures below freezing, with other parts of North Jersey experiencing even colder conditions.
At 4:30 a.m., the thermometer reads 28 degrees in Newark, and while it’s less windy than Thursday, a light breeze keeps the wind chill between 15 and 25 degrees, making it feel bitterly cold.According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 34 degrees.
Despite the sunshine, the crisp northwest wind, blowing at 6 to 9 mph, will ensure that the chill lingers throughout the day.
Bundle up, New Jersey, and dress warmly for the bitter conditions if you’re heading out this morning. Stay safe and enjoy your Friday!
