Newark Police are investigating an incident where a vehicle was spray painted with biassed graffiti.
According to the woman in the area, while attempting to get gas from a nearby service station, a man approached and told her that someone had spray painted his car with the letters "KKK." shortly after 11 p.m.
Police and crime scene photo units were called, then arrived at the scene where they observed the white vehicle spray painted near the back passenger door with the large "KKK" lettering.
Police processed the crime scene and launched an immediate investigation.
The incident happened in close proximity to a school.
There were no arrests reported.
