Early Tuesday morning, Paramus Police successfully resolved a tense standoff in a residential neighborhood, arresting an individual without further incident.SupportInitial reports indicated that the situation began around 1 a.m. when police responded to a domestic call at an address in the 60s block of Juniper Lane.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that a man, reportedly armed, had barricaded himself inside a home after a family dispute.

Individuals inside the home and possibly involved in the situation were able to escape the premises safely, leaving the suspect isolated.

Reports said authorities quickly established a perimeter and initiated negotiations.

After over an hour of careful communication, police persuaded the suspect to exit the house. He was taken into custody shortly before 3:10 a.m.

The incident concluded without any injuries, and the ongoing investigation remains active as officers continue to piece together the events leading up to the standoff.
